New project may be underway in Houston suburb

New renderings show that a new unit could be in the works around the Levy Park area.The Houston real estate scene may soon have a new development in the works.According to Munoz and Albin, a local architecture firm, the company has posted pictures on its website of a project that would be built in Levy Park, the Houston Chronicle reports.Should the pictures be an indication of what's to come, it serves as the latest indication of just how active a location this part of the city is for real estate development. The paper notes that Morgan Group, an apartment builder, is already in the midst of developing a luxury apartment complex where the Central Presbyterian Church used to be.Houston homes have been a hot commodity in the Lone Star State. According to recent statistics from the Houston Association of Realtors, single-family home sales soared in November, rising nearly 28 percent when compared to the same month in 2011.
